Chez Bec retained her crown (or should that be tiara) as winner of 'Best Wedding Accessories' - so it was only right that we partied hard with champagne and cosmopolitans to toast her success!
A couple months back I went to Andrew Lloyd Webber's beautiful country house with TV production company TwoFour to do his hair and makeup for a TV interview that was part of BBC Four's 'The Story of Musicals'.
If you loved West End shows 'Cats' and 'Starlight Express' like I did, then you'll really enjoy watching all of the fabulous archive footage and recent interviews with the likes of Elaine Paige, Bonnie Langford, Sir Trevor Nunn, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Sir Tim Rice and Lord (Andrew) Lloyd Webber in this three part series.
I am hugely excited to announce that I am now part of the creative team at www.tstylesu.com

Brilliant time yesterday (despite the freezing temperatures after dark) on the set of a gangster film called 'Coolio' filming with British actors Geoff Bell (from recent TV series Treasure Island on Sky 1, RocknRolla and The Business) and Brian Croucher.
We were filming at The Spa Valley Railway Station in Tunbridge Wells amongst and on the iconic steam trains.
Thankfully we were able to keep warm huddled around a big woodburner the train drivers had made out of an old gas cylinder. Toasty!
At the beginning of December myself and Makeup Artist Riva Williams worked on a short film called 'Two Fat Ladies', directed by Martin De Lange, starring Anna Crilly (who played grumpy housekeeper Magda in Jack Dee's TV series Lead Balloon), Hazel Douglas (who played Professor Bathilda Bagshot in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1) and Beryl Nesbitt.
The film is set in a bingo hall and is about two 'warring' old ladies - Maud (Beryl Nesbitt) and Bertha (Hazel Douglas).
Back in November I did the wedding makeup for a bridal shoot with wedding accessories designer Chez Bec and Bridal Boutique Isabella Grace. I already posted some photos in a previous blog, but here is a link to a beautiful behind the scenes video shot by The Dreamcatchers http://vimeo.com/31863091thedreamcatchers.co.uk
Here are some images from a shoot I did the makeup for recently in Hampstead, with the fabulous photographer Lea Salomone, Hair Stylist genius Luke Plukrose and his team from Saks Salon, and the beautiful and very talented stylist Sophie Davies.
The stunning wedding dresses can be found at bridal boutique 'Isabella Grace' in the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. http://www.isabellagracebridal.com/

I worked on a photoshoot with the beautiful ITV Weather Presenter Becky Mantin and with ITV Press Photographer Jon Cartwight a couple weeks back in London...Becks and I have been friends since our days at Anglia Television together in Norwich, so we all had an absolute blast.
We were shooting in Jon's amazing apartment and studio opposite the London Eye.
I'm attending my first session working with an amazing cancer charity called 'Look Good Feel Better' at Maidstone Hospital in Kent today. The charity teaches women going through chemotherapy how to combat the visible signs of treatment using skin care and makeup products and by the end of the session the ladies should all feel wonderfully pampered and will leave looking really lovely.
I'm excited to be shooting with photographer Ani Lang and fashion designer Lauren Solomon tomorrow ahead of a big charity event coming up at The Kensington Roof Gardens on October 15th 2011 in London - if you're in town, buy your tickets now! http://www.slavesoftheextraordinary.com/mayamiko/
